The San Juan Island Library District is seeking a creative, adaptable, and self-motivated individual to serve as Adult Programs Associate to initiate, plan, and implement special programs for adult community members and to manage social media communications.

Responsibilities include seeking and evaluating possible programs, planning finances and logistics, producing quality print and online marketing materials, conducting and troubleshooting all technological aspects and equipment used in in-person and virtual programs, managing and producing social media communications, and working six hours per week on the front desk. Excellent technological and people skills, event planning, marketing experience and a bachelor’s degree are required. Successful experience in public library service and experience with computers in libraries preferred. 

This is a salaried, 30-hours-per-week, variable-schedule position, with evenings, weekdays and weekends included.
